Goosebumps

Room 11 had to do a reading activity that the entire class can participate in. We had to write about the book which was called Goosebumps. We wrote information about the author as well. Everyone was so focused on the drawing and the painting. Most people helped writing the information and lists of books. We also discovered some facts about the author (R.L Stine) that we didn't know about him. It was quite a fun experience.

Touch Rugby

So for the last 4 weeks our school has been having touch rugby lessons. I already feel like I learned a lot from our coach Trevor. But today we got split into 4 groups which was 2 groups of girls and 2 groups of boys. The boys went up first and did really well. While the boys played the 2 groups of girls had to practice passing and trying the ball until we were next. We played really good but we lost anyways. Our coach Trevor taught us a lot in just one day. I can't wait for the next week.

Keri Hilson

Everyone has to have a favorite singer right?well my favorite singer is Keri Hilson. She is one of my favorite people in the world to me. She inspires me to keep singing and never stop. She has a lot of music that I listen to a lot but one of my favorite songs from her is Pretty Girl Rock. She has been my favorite singer since I was young. Sometimes I feel like Keri Hilson was the actual one who put me into music. I have always wanted to meet her like crazy. I hope one day I get to meet her. I love you Keri!

Dwayne and his girlfriend Lauren Hashien are expecting their first child together and Dwayne uploaded the unbelievable news on Instagram. He wrote ''I was raised and lived with amazing and strong women,so then the universe felt like we needed one more''....ITS A BABY GIRL!!!. Silver Ferns Win

The Silver Ferns won the final netball Test against Australia 58-47, but the Diamonds still retained the Constellation Cup. Now that the Silver Ferns have won their final game, it was unexpected that the All Blacks have won as well. Our country has done really well for our country by attending the Rugby World Cup for 2015. Bull gets head stuck in tree trunk

Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service received a rather unusual call to help a bull with its head stuck in a tree.The team were called out to  field at around 11 am and found the bull with his head lodged in the trunk of a tree.The bull was named ‘Billy’ by his rescuers and was freed without any major injuries.

So for Halloween I have decided to wear this costume which I called the scary witch killer. I decided to make up that name because it goes really well with my costume. I drew this on sumopaint. So the point of my costume is a witch that kills people and kills them with knives.

Eastern Beach

I woke up at the weekend and felt like going swimming. So I decided that me and my family should go to Eastern beach. As soon as we got there we went for a walk on the sand to wait for the BBQ to be cooked. While the BBQ was still getting cooked I went for a swim, played on the long swing,and had a nice long walk on the sand. We finally ate and that's how I spent my day.

Shakeout Drill

Well earlier this morning we had a shakeout drill. We had to wait for 3 bells to tell us when to get under the desks. As soon as the 3 bells rang we went under our desk as quick as we could. Everyone had to try and protect themselves from the shakeout. .When we got under the desks everyone was pretending to prepare for the worst. We felt really squished but it was worth it. In the end Miss Brough called over the speaker and told us that we were allowed to get on with our work and she hoped that we were safe.

Mercury could get as twice as a oven. The surface of the mercury is very similar to the moon. Mercury has no atmosphere which means that there is no wind or weather.

In a statement provided by Hamilton Zoo it has been reaffirmed that ‘Oz’, the Sumatran tiger that mauled a woman to death will not be put down.  Oz’s victim Samantha Lynda Kudeweh, 43, was a beloved member of the Hamilton zoo team and had been a zoo keeper for over 20 years.

In a statement released by the Hamilton Zoo, it was said that 11-year-old tiger Oz will not be euthanised. As they assured the public and zoo supporters that they have no reason to put him down. They recognise that there is an inherent risk for zoo professionals to manage big cats like Oz, hence they have no logical reason to put him down.

In a statement released a short time ago, Kudeweh’s family thanked the public and the global zoo community for their messages of support over the past couple of days.

Polar Bears

Me and my group have been working on report topic for a week. Our group members were Sulisi,Tyla and including myself. We have been exploring a lot of sites for information. What we did was we wrote all the information that we had so far about Polar bears. We picked Polar Bears for our topic because polar bears are really interesting and there are a lot of great facts about them. So this is what me and my report group have been doing for a week.

Myron Simpson

Myron Simpson is a young New Zealand cyclist that has traveled around the world. He has a lot of equipment that he has to use when he rides his cycle. He started to ride bikes when he was 3 years of age. Myron Simpson has won a silver medal for World Champs in Mexico. Myron Simpson also has a racing helmet which his uncle spray painted for him. He even created his own muesli bar. But in the end he awarded us with special Duffy books.

Sonny Bill Williams

  

The person that has inspired me for quite a long time is Sonny Bill Williams.

He is a rugby (and rugby league)  player and also a successful  heavyweight boxer.  I really want him to visit my room so I can meet Sonny Bill Williams.  He shows people that you don’t just give up on your dream and works hard to do his.  He is a really competitive person and it would be awesome if he came to Room 11.

This week me and my entire class had badminton lessons.We had to get into groups and find a partner.My partner was really good at it.My partner was Anavea. Our tutor Danny taught us difficult ways on how to hit the shuttle in the air.Me and my partner had tough times.Eventually we got there in the end.
