Tabloids

So yesterday we had our first school tabloids for this year. We were sorted into teams. Everyone was having so much fun playing different activities. Parents were invited to watch their children having fun. Every time Mrs Pederson does sounds syron each team moves on to the next teacher to do the next activity. One of my favourite activities I've played was knocking the coconut down with a ball. We always had to split into 2 teams with 2 year 8s helping the little students from room 1 upto room 7. It was really fun but hot at the same time.

Strong Earthquake Hits Christchurch

earthquake chchOn Sunday afternoon apparently there was a huge strong earthquake that hit Christchurch. The earthquake caused cliffs to collapse into the ocean but no big damage to the city was reported. Geonet says that their were more than 40 aftershocks.  The police also says that their were no major damages or bad injuries, but most people were evacuated from several buildings. The most luckiest thing of all is that nobody managed to die.

Waitangi Holiday

So for Waitangi holiday we celebrated the weekend by going to Waiwera beach. There were a lot of relatives invited. We did a lot of activities like playing soccer and touch. Later it started to get a bit hot so everyone got their togs and towels and they headed straight to the water. It was so fun just diving in the huge waves and finding different kinds of shells beneath the ocean. But then it was time to go and eat lunch, so then everyone hopped  out the water and ran to get dressed. The lunch was really delicious. As soon as everyone finished eating we all packed our things to the car and went home. So then I finally went for a nap.
